Telescopic Hydraulic Cylinders

These multi-stage telescopic hydraulic cylinders (commercial tipping cylinders) are typically used on small to medium-sized commercial tipping vehicles/road going tipping trailer applications and typically range between 2 tonne – 21 tonne lifting capacity in 2 to 5 stages.

With our telescopic hydraulic cylinders you can choose from three different bore sizes and five length variations in each size. The telescopic hydraulic cylinder specification sheet below tells you more about our standard range.

We appreciate the harsh working conditions that road going applications create for this type of cylinder, which is why we manufacture to our own proven bespoke design to maximise cylinder longevity and minimise down-time.

Standard Features throughout the range.
  • Single-acting
  • Trunnion or pin mounted
  • Provision for grease nipples (not on all models)
  • All stages are hard chrome plated for superior corrosion resistance & to maximise seal life
  • Zinc plated outer barrel assembly to give a level of corrosion protection
  • Double lipped asymmetric rod seal design manufactured in high-performance polyurethane
  • Heavy-duty wiper ring featuring a front flap that covers the tube face preventing a water/slurry trap so common with conventional wiper.
  • Bearing rings fitted to all stages to give maximum internal support whilst extending through all stages.
  • Bearing rings: fitted to all stages to give full support to the rod seal.

  • TUBE:–: All tubes manufactured from ready to use smooth bore, EN10305-2 specification, E355 steel grade, hard chrome plated with a minimum plate deposit thickness 0.025mm
  • ROD:–: All rods are hard chrome plated.
ALL TELESCOPIC HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS/ COMMERCIAL TIPPING CYLINDERS ARE PRESSURE TESTED ON A PURPOSE-BUILT RIG TO A PRESSURE OF 241 BAR (3500 PSI) AND THEN STAMPED WITH PART, JOB, & SERIAL NUMBERS, WEIGHT, MANUFACTURE DATE AND MAX W/PRESSURE FOR FULL IDENTIFICATION. ALL TONNAGES CALCULATED AT 2610 PSI (180 BAR).
